This 16-tone piano, gives access to an alternative tuning, whilst retaining some of the dynamic control and timbral richness, that comes with playing an acoustic piano.
It was converted from a Kawai EP-608 portable stage piano. The keys were reconfigured to correspond with the different tuning. New piano keys were laser cut as required. Strings were repositioned to accommodate the different frequencies. Some replacement strings were sourced from a broken piano.
